Having perfectly flawless, soft skin is a dream that many women chase. Trying every new skin care product on the market seeking the one(s) that work is a past time of mine.
Obagi Medical sent a couple of products from the Obagi360™ System for me to try. They sent their exfoliating cleanser and moisturizing cream with sunscreen.
The exfoliating cleanser is my favorite of the two Obagi360™ System products. I love the smell and it’s gentle enough (as in not overly abrasive like some exfoliants tend to be) for me to use it daily. The scent is almost invigorating so it’s a nice morning pick-me-up. The gentle beads help make sure that all of the days sweat, dirt, and makeup wash down the drain so it’s perfect at night also.
The after effect is soft and touchable skin which most if not all women crave. Since it is such a gentle formula there is no redness or irritation, at least not that I have encountered.
I have mixed feelings about the moisturizing cream. It does a decent job of moisturizing my skin but it’s not the best. I really like the SPF 30 factor and think this is perfect for using under your makeup before heading outside. The only downside for me was the fact that using this was a lot like applying sunblock. You know the dreaded white face paint look? That’s the initial result when putting this on the skin. I usually end up blotting away any excess but if you use a minimal amount it rubs in pretty well.
The Obagi360™ System is available online and through physicians (talk to your dermatologist), medical spas, and other select skin care professionals. You can find a retailer nearest you by clicking here. The complete system includes the following products:

Rosacea is a frustrating condition. I do everything I can to hide it, which can leave my skin worse for the wear. Layers upon layers of makeup go on daily to conceal the redness underneath. I just want the redness to go away for good but that’s unlikely. I have found a product that seems to be working to at least reduce the redness.
I received a jar of Lady Soma’s Somaluxe Redness Repair for review and have been using it almost religiously for the past couple of weeks. There have been a few days where I’ve forgotten it but for the most part I use it nightly.
The Lady Soma’s Somaluxe Redness Repair claim:
Calming treatment for sensitive skin that enhances the complexion and adds gentle moisture. Formulated with calming botanicals to soothe skin and relieve visible redness. Aloe vera, witch hazel and rosehip seed oil hydrate delicate, sensitive skin without causing irritation. Can be used to ease skin concerns caused by rosacea, sunburn, skin treatments or allergies.[/pullquote]
Moisture and redness reduction are the two things my face needs the most so I was eager to see how it worked for me.
While I didn’t notice a drastic difference in the redness I am noticing less of it. My cheeks are the worst spot for redness and that seems to be fading to an extent. I hate to use this word but they seem more splotchy now as opposed to before being saturated with redness. I’m not using splotchy as a negative here, just to convey that there are normal skin tones mixed in with the redness now.
I’m hoping with continued regular use I’ll notice even more of a difference. And who knows, maybe I’ll finally get the redness under control! I know the dryness is gone and that’s a biggie! From the moment I put the cream on my face, I feel my skin drinking it up. It feels amazing and my skin looks so healthy after using it. It adds a healthy glow without looking oily or gross.
The only downside I have had so far is a couple breakouts. I can’t be sure if they are coming from the cream or just natural occurrences, though. I’m leaning more towards natural as my skin looks better than ever after using the cream. I have used it instead of my regular primer when putting on makeup and it works great. It adds the right amount of moisture to keep my foundation from looking caked on and flaky.
Lady Soma also offers many other skin-pampering products. Be sure to check out their other products including the Raspberry Red Lip Gloss which is gorgeous and yummy! You can connect with Lady Soma on:
