Like many of you guys, I’ve gone through a rough past couple of months. I’m sure we’ve all felt alone at one point or another, and it’s difficult to continue on through your day as if everything’s okay. That’s why I decided to compile a list of reminders that helped keep me going through times of loneliness. Remember: you are a valuable, unique human being serving a purpose in this massive world. Never doubt yourself, and view the times of loneliness as a chance to grow and develop as a person. You don’t need anyone’s validation or approval except your own. So, go out there and kill it today…and everyday after this one. I hope these help to lift your spirits as they did with mine.
What is up with the stigma around bladder leakage? I have several friends that I compare accident stories with but then there are others who seem to be ashamed of it. I was a little embarrassed when it started happening to me but I did a lot of research and found that it’s actually very common.
Did you know: More people with bladder leakage are 50 or younger than 60 or older!
There is no rule that says you have to be above or below a certain age to experience bladder leakage. In fact a number of life changes and experiences can cause it to happen – regardless of age. Anything could trigger it: running, jumping, coughing, sneezing, laughing… The bottom line is it happens and it definitely isn’t the end of the world.
I’m 33 and I have, and still do, experienced bladder leakage. I was embarrassed at first – no way was I talking about it with anyone. Then I realized I’m not alone; chances are someone (closer than you may think) has experienced bladder leakage as well.
Did you know: More people with bladder leakage are in their 20’s than their 80’s
The options for women needing bladder leakage protection used to be limited. You could wear bulky pads or bulky diapers… or you could just deal with it and risk being smelly all day. No thank you! Depend has their all new Silhouette Active Fit and they say “Stigma be damned!”
Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs are a new moderate-absorbency brief that feature a thin design for complete comfort with the trusted protection of the Depend brand and a lower rise+ for an underwear-like look, fit and feel. They are available in black and beige colors.
Depend provides discrete products that help people regain their freedom and get their lives back. Regain your self-esteem and join me in the Underwareness movement!
You may recall the first time we talked about the #Underwareness movement Depend initiated. They are now in their second year of the social movement/charitable cause breaking down the bladder leakage stigma. As part of underwareness Depend is encouraging people to show their support for women with bladder leakage.
For every photo and video shared using #Underwareness and featuring Depend products, the Depend brand will donate $1, up to $3 million, through 2016 to fund charities that advance the research and education of bladder leakage.
Did you know: There are 51 million women out there that experience bladder leakage
