Iced Coffee At Home Just Got Easier with Primula

When you rely on coffee to get and keep you going summer can be a nightmare. The last thing you want on a 90+ degree day is a hot cup of coffee. I actually prefer Iced Coffee to hot coffee and now that I’ve been introduced to Primula it’s easy to make. The Cold Brew Glass Carafe Brewing System – Iced Coffee Maker is probably the best thing to happen to me all summer.Primula's Iced Coffee Maker

The only downside is the wait.

I’ve tried my hand at making iced coffee at home many times. It’s never ended well for me (or the coffee.) I’ve always ended up with ho-hum iced coffee or a diluted, tasteless cup of Moe (calling it Joe is an insult to Joe’s everywhere – I don’t know anyone named Moe!) Making iced coffee with the Primula Cold Brew glass Carafe Brewing System is effortless and flawless. The only thing you need to pay attention to is measuring out the coffee grounds.

How to Make Iced Coffee with Primula’s Iced Coffee Maker

The first step to making iced coffee with Primula’s Iced Coffee Maker is to fill the pitcher with water. I use around 14 1/2 cups.

Next, take the top off of the brew infuser (MyBev core) and fill it with your preferred {ground} coffee. Don’t fill to the tippy top or you’ll end  up with grounds in the carafe.

Screw the top on securely and place in the pitcher.

Place the pitcher in the fridge for a minimum of 12 hours.

Enhance with your preferred flavor(s), add milk, sweetener and enjoy!

What I love most about this cold brew method is how much more gentle the coffee is. I have recurring heartburn and hot brewed coffee doesn’t go easy on it. The cold brewing method yields a full-bodied iced coffee that has 65% less acid than hot brewing.

The Cold Brew Carafe makes 16 cups of prepared iced coffee that lasts up to 14 days in the refrigerator. It is BPA free and dishwasher safe! There is even a silicone ring on the bottom that keeps the carafe from spilling.

My only complaint would be with the mixer. It’s a great concept but can be rough on the fingers when you get into it. I’ve pinched myself a few times trying to ensure a thorough mix – to mix you pull up/push down on the mixer.

All in all, I am beyond pleased with the Iced Coffee Maker from Primula and can highly recommend it to any coffee lover.
