How often do you hear people moaning about being too busy to look after their health? Even if you have a full-time job there is nothing stopping you from looking after yourself. Your health, in any circumstances, comes first!
It’s easy to say you’ll start doing something about it tomorrow, but taking action seems to be a lot harder. If you’re having trouble giving your health the respect it deserves, we’re going to look at some ways you can overcome it.
There are countless myths and theories about whether or not you should eat breakfast before a workout, and that one may be more beneficial than the other. Some say working out on an empty stomach helps to burn more fat. But, what really happens inside of your body?
As someone who has been studying exercise science and human physiology in university for a few years now, I’m able to come to a conclusion about this issue. Without getting too in depth, the following information (backed up by science!) will enlighten you about the processes your body goes through when you eat and when you don’t eat before you exercise. Should you eat before a workout to burn fat quicker? We’ll answer this below. If you’re in a rush to find out, scroll down to The Final Verdict. 🙂
There are so many different types of effective workouts out there, and sometimes it’s hard to choose the type of workout that suit our bodies best.
I’ve personally tried numerous different workouts and about 2 years ago, I stumbled upon high intensity interval training — or HIIT for short. Two years ago, I had the absolute worst cardio endurance. I couldn’t even run for 1 minute straight without stopping. I decided to try a HIIT workout and ever since, I fell in love with how quick my endurance began to improve after incorporating HIIT into my weekly workout regime.
Two years later, I’m more toned with less % body fat and with a much higher level of cardio fitness. I decided to do some research on HIIT and its effects on the human body (which is so fascinating to me especially since I’m pursuing a degree in Exercise Science!). So, if you’re wondering if HIIT is the type of workout for you, keep reading!

Have you ever woke up (or been kept awake) with the thought “What am I doing?” Do you ever question the choices you make regarding your health and wellbeing? Do you want to enhance your life and ditch bad habits?
Hopefully, you answered yes to at least one of those questions because then you can understand where I am in life.
There are so many things I want to change in my lifestyle and it gets a little overwhelming at times. When I start to think of all of my bad habits and the poor choices I make I wonder how I could ever tackle all of my goals. It seems impossible which kinda crushes the mood for me. Most of the time when this happens I shrug it off and eat a donut, like my yearning to get healthier just faded away.
I guess the most important thing for changing your lifestyle is actually starting somewhere. That’s what I did when I started on Nature Made’s 30-Day Healthy Habit Builder Program.
What is the 30-Day Healthy Habit Builder Program
The 30-Day Healthy Habit Builder Program is Nature Made‘s effort to encourage us to live our healthiest lives, one good habit at a time. Nature Made is the nation’s #1 best-selling brand of quality vitamins, minerals and supplements** to help support nutritional gaps.
When you sign up you’re asked to pick 4 healthy habits to build over 30 days. There are weekly challenges in place to help you keep these habits in your routine. then you complete weekly challenges to make those habits part of your routine. You even get prizes, coupons, and more as you progress towards your goals!
There are prizes, coupons, and more as you progress through the program, ultimately reaching your goals! You’ll also get motivation and tips to meet your specific health goals in addition to being automatically entered to win the grand prize of $5,000**.
After I learned about the program I started to wonder which vitamins would be best for me. I’ve always taken an all-in-one vitamin as opposed to a vitamin with a specific purpose. I browsed the huge selection of Nature Made vitamins at Walmart (great prices!) and found one that sounded just perfect!
A vitamin that helped reduce stress while increasing energy and immune system support. Since I have a vitamin B deficiency, the choice was a no-brainer. I went with the Stress B-Complex and have made it a point to take them a directed (daily).
When I’m feeling lazy, or just need a little boost I head to the Nature Made Daily Boost program for inspiration and help to reach my health goals. I can also get a sneak peek at what other Nature Made fans are doing to stay healthy, which is great motivation!
To help you start making healthy habits here is your chance to win one of 20 $50 Walmart gift cards. *I-C will randomly select 20 winners from all program entries and will handle fulfillment of the winning prizes.
