Winter winds are the worst thing for my lips. For anyones lips really. Drying and chapping are issues that so many of us cannot escape. We can make it better with the help of certain steps.
Exfoliating the lips once a week or so will help keep them soft and kissable. Be sure to choose an exfoliant that is gentle so you do not end up chaffing your lips.
Keeping your lips protected from those harsh winter winds is an imperative step. Carmex has been making the great hydrating and protecting lip balms we love since 1937. They have amazing patterns that are a lot of fun to show off. Grace is in heaven every times she sees a new Carmex tube. I wish you could see how excited she gets when it comes to her lip balms.
Something Grace pointed out was how much Carmex helps with her dry mouth issues. Anyone who takes medicines that cause dry mouth should understand what she means. Carmex adds the perfect amount of moisture to keep lips safe from repetitive licking.

Make sure you have a tube of Carmex handy because it is truly amazing for moisturizing lips afterwards.
Avoiding winter weather isn’t really possible but limiting the amount of time your skin and lips are exposed could reduce the risk of chapping. Also, try to stop yourself from licking your lips a lot – stay hydrated and keep Carmex on your lips.
Using a humidifier when you have heat running will help keep your lips from chapping as well. These are some of the top of my head tips I have for keeping your lips healthy during the winter. What do you do to keep your lips in tip top shape? Does Carmex fit into the equation!?
You can find a Carmex retailer using their handy tool and they come highly recommended by Grace and I. You can also connect with Carmex on their social media channels:
