Harsh winter weather can wreak havoc on your skin. If you have preexisting skin conditions the effects could be worse. Most drugstore available products make big claims with less than brag-worthy results when it comes to fixing, pampering or treating skin conditions. For me, rosacea is a condition I live with and hate. Having people constantly ask “why is your face so red” is annoying as heck. Especially when you’ve answered them a dozen times before.
I was excited to try out these Cheryl Lee MD products and see what their products could do for my skin. I received 2 separate products, the Cheryl Lee MD True Lipids Relieve & Protect Ointment and the True Lipids Eczema Experts Anti-Itch 1% Hydrocortisone Barrier Cream.
Neither of these Cheryl Lee MD products contains fragrance, parabens, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) or formaldehyde. They’re also hypoallergenic and non-irritating. This makes sense since they are designed for people with skin conditions and sensitivities!
For me, one of the most important factors in anything I put on my skin is the consistency. I found the Cheryl Lee MD Relieve & Protect Ointment to be of a sturdy consistency. There was no runny, goopy mess to deal with. A big bonus for me.
The only thing I didn’t care for with this Cheryl Lee MD item was the greasy feeling it left after rubbing it in. I guess that’s required to get optimal healing, though, and it doesn’t last forever. The formula, however, lasts even after you wash your hands. That’s something I really appreciate in a product.
While I don’t suffer from Eczema, my roommate has been somewhat itchy lately so she tried out the Cheryl Lee MD True Lipids Eczema Experts Anti-Itch 1% Hydrocortisone Barrier Cream.
She says she felt relief from the itchiness almost immediately. That’s a win in my book! I know how miserable having an itch that won’t go away can be. It’s a relief to know there’s a solution out there even for those with sensitive skin. And her approval of Cheryl Lee MD says a lot!
I liked the consistency of the Cheryl Lee MD True Lipids Eczema Experts Anti-Itch 1% Hydrocortisone Barrier Cream. It was smooth and creamy and rubbed in without leaving any residue behind. I also really like how versatile this product is. I am assuming this is similar to Preparation H since it may be used to relieve anal/genital itching.
Overall I think these are great products, especially for those with eczema and skin sensitivities. The price tag may seem a little steep, but for the results other reviews have stated, I’d say it’s well worth it. You can find Cheryl Lee, MD products on their website.
