As if regular days weren’t hectic enough, the holidays have to come in and add their two cents. Running around, trying to find time to conquer the ‘To Do’ list, and retain some sanity during this time of year is a tough feat. But if our parents and grandparents did it, that means we can too, right?!

Marie Callenders Pot Pie

This is the time of year where we break out the recipe books and prepare to serve up classic family favorites. What sides are going with holiday meals; what will you take to the company potluck; what’s for dinner tonight? For us, tonight’s dinner is just like Gramma used to make – Marie Callender’s Chicken Pot Pie. Well maybe not just like because we all know you can’t replicate Gramma’s cooking, but these wholesome and hearty meals are nonetheless delicious.

Marie Callenders Pot Pie

Pot Pies have always been one of my favorite meals. It has all of my favorite ingredients baked together: the golden flaky crust, a healthy serving of veggies, and meat with a gravy like sauce I just can’t get enough of! Pot Pie is definitely my top choice for a busy night wholesome family meal. After all, who doesn’t love a meal where the hard work is done for you? That’s why I love Marie Callender’s. The prep work is done, I can just wrap the pot pie crust edges in aluminium foil, bake, and serve.

If you’re like me though and feel naked with only one thing on the table then you can whip up this super simple Apple Crisp to go with it. A little sweet to go with your savory if you will.

Easy Apple Crisp

This is a great recipe to make a day or two in advance. You can heat it up in the oven once you’ve finished cooking your pot pie or make it fresh – the choice is yours.
